Michael Beyda's approach to a client's decision

Founder and principal

Michael Beyda

Michael founded Benchmark and works closely with every client, building lasting relationships grounded in care and trust. He has spent more than two decades in New York City real estate and brings real passion to both the process and the product.

He loves the city and its buildings, and he believes the best results come from strong partnerships and a great team. Outside the office, Michael gives his time to the Brooklyn nonprofit Sephardic Bikur Holim. He also enjoys running, playing basketball and spending time with his family.

Executive Director

Joel Kubie

Joel specializes in office leasing and tenant representation throughout New York City. Over the years he has represented companies across fashion, financial services, healthcare, technology and advertising, and he leads the leasing team at 1407 Broadway, a 1.1 million-square-foot Class A office tower in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Clients value his straightforward, personable approach and the way he keeps a complex process simple. Outside of real estate, Joel is an avid hockey player and proud to call himself a “Hockey Guy,” bringing the same competitive spirit and team-first mentality to everything he does.

Director

David Adjmi

David brings a background in commercial real estate brokerage at Cushman & Wakefield and Marcus & Millichap, with experience in both leasing and investment sales.

Having also worked in the apparel industry, David understands firsthand the needs of businesses and the importance of finding a space that works beyond just the numbers. He enjoys getting to know his clients, understanding their priorities, and finding creative solutions to make deals work.

At Benchmark, David works closely with tenants and landlords throughout New York City. He approaches each client's real estate requirements as his own, bringing persistence, attention to detail, and a focus on identifying opportunities that deliver tangible value.
